Telangana Judiciary Direct Recruitment Eligibility

For Direct Recruitment, a candidate must:

Possess a Degree in Law from a university established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act, or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission.
Be enrolled in the Bar Council as an Advocate.
Have been practicing as an Advocate or Pleader in the High Court or courts under the control of the High Court for not less than 3 years as on 01.12.2025.
Have attained the age of 23 years.
Not have attained the age of 35 years for Open Category and 40 years for EWS, SC, ST and BC categories as on the date of notification.
Be able to read, speak and write Telugu fluently and pass the test prescribed by the High Court.
Practice Experience Note

Experience gained while working as a Law Clerk / Research Assistant with any Judge of the High Court, Judges of High Courts or Judicial Officers in India is considered while calculating total years of practice.

For Recruitment by Transfer, a candidate must:

Possess a Degree in Law from a recognised university.
Not have completed 48 years of age as on 01.12.2025.
Be a confirmed member or approved probationer in the eligible categories of posts.

Be free from disqualifying service or criminal proceedings.
